Daniel Craig returns as 007 – If you didn’t know already, I’m a HUGE James Bond fan and I’m absolutely thrilled with the news that Daniel will be reprising his role as Bond in the next film. The ending of Spectre just wouldn’t have worked with a new actor in the role IMO.

Number Two

Happiness is a long hot bubble bath – Being a bath bomb addict, this sign is absolutely perfect for our bathroom! Sass & Belle have them on sale at the moment, which is an added bonus.

Number Three
3TT3.17.08.17
Stained Glass – I love stained glass, I think it’s incredibly beautiful and I would love to have a window of my own one day! I love any opportunity to admire these works of art, such as this one which I spotted on Sunday.

Merlin 💖
Merlin the Cockapoo – Merlin is the latest edition to our family, mum picked him up yesterday and I’m so looking forward to meeting him next week!

Number Two
3TT2.10.08.17
Beauty Box – My friend Michelle came up with a great idea for the members of her VIP group, those who want to take part are paired up with another member (chosen at random) and are tasked with sending a box of lovely things to each other based on their interests. My box of surprises arrived on Monday and I loved it, especially the Ravenclaw bookmark! It’s a great way of making new friends and I can’t wait for the next one!

Number Three
And the award for strangest thing I've seen today goes to this... peacock?
Random Peacock – I go to a lot of car shows with my husband and they usually have market stalls selling all sorts of random things, this peacock (?) however, has to be one of the most unusual things I have ever spotted! The “feathers” on top light up and there are pedals inside of it… no idea what it is but it made me laugh!

#WeekendCoffeeShare: If We Were Having Coffee on 6th August 2017

Thanks for joining me for this Weekend Coffee Share, created and hosted by Diana at Part Time Monster.

If we were having coffee today, I would first like to apologise for missing our chats recently! I’ve been so busy helping mum with her new house and then I was on holiday in Italy. Anyway, what would you like to drink?

Has July treated you well? I can’t believe we’re in August already, this year is flying by! Yesterday my husband and I were at the Gloucestershire Vintage and Country Extravaganza in Cirencester. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side with heavy rain and thunderstorms throughout most of the day, but we did manage to see quite a bit of the show in the hour of sunshine we were afforded!

As you may have seen on my Three Things Thursday post, we celebrated our 1st Wedding Anniversary last weekend. We had a wonderful time in Italy, we stayed in Sorrento and whilst we were there we visited Herculaneum, Pompeii and Capri. We had beautiful weather the entire time, the food was amazing and the views were stunning!

I’m pleased to say that my mum’s house is now complete, everything has been unpacked, all the workmen have finished and she finally has a phone line and internet connection. I’m really looking forward to our next visit, as we will be able to go out to places and just enjoy the new house without stressing over what still needs to be done.

The exciting news for us this week is the soon-to-be-addition to our family, a gorgeous 8 week old Cockapoo. Mum’s still undecided on his name as of yet, but they introduced him to Bailey yesterday and are hoping to bring him home on Wednesday. I cannot wait to meet him!

Well I think that’s everything for now! Thank you for joining me for this Coffee Share, I hope you have a lovely week ahead! Don’t forget to visit my fellow bloggers for a cuppa and a catch up.

Our 1st Wedding Anniversary – It was our first anniversary as a married couple on Saturday, which we celebrated with an amazing meal in Sorrento, Italy. It’s hard to believe it’s been a year already, it really doesn’t feel that long ago!

Number Two
3TT2.03.08.17
Visiting Herculaneum – I’ve been fascinated with Ancient Roman history ever since I can remember (even more so after studying archaeology) and I have always wanted to visit Herculaneum and Pompeii, which I finally got to do whilst on holiday in Sorrento. Both sites were absolutely breathtaking but my favourite has to be the lesser known Herculaneum which was so well preserved even the wooden furniture, mosaics and frescos survived.

Number Three
3TT3.03.08.17
Library in the Sky – I was surprised, but delighted to discover in my seat pocket during our easyJet flight a copy of The Railway Children. Although the book club (which I think is a wonderful idea) is aimed at children, I had a very enjoyable flight re-reading this wonderful classic… I really must watch the film again!

Bailey – One of my favourite things about visiting my mum is the greeting I get from our dog Bailey. Seeing him again always makes even the worst day a bit brighter!

Number Two
3TT2.27.07.17
Happy Mail – I absolutely love getting letters and parcels, even more so when they contain an unexpected surprise! I came home the other day to these lovely things from my friends (how great is the unicorn cat drawing?!)

Number Three
3TT3.27.07.17
Strawberry & Cream Cake – My husband treated me to lunch at Dobbies, which meant I could have my favourite item on their menu… this absolutely delicious cake.  I’d love to know what sauce they use, it’s wonderful!

Making a #wish by tying a ribbon on the #wishing tree
The Nunnington Wishing Tree – I love any opportunity to make a wish, so when I spotted the Wishing Tree at Nunnington Hall, I was so excited to tie my wish ribbon to the tree… here’s hoping it comes true!

Number Two

Historic Houses – I adore places like historic houses, they’re my “happy place” so my weekend was just perfect as I was able to visit two stunning properties. Newby Hall in particular was just breathtaking! As an added bonus for me, I discovered that they filmed one of my favourite shows, Victoria, there.

Peacocks – Peacocks are one of my favourite birds, so it made my day to have this beautiful peahen follow me around the beautiful flowers at Nunnington.

#WeekendCoffeeShare: If We Were Having Coffee on 16th July 2017

Thanks for joining me for this Weekend Coffee Share, created and hosted by Diana at Part Time Monster.

If we were having coffee today, you would be joining me at the stunning Newby Hall. My husband and I are here primarily for the Historical Vehicle Rally, but I also took the time to go on a guided tour of the house which was fantastic. I’ve visited many beautiful stately homes over the years but Newby is particularly exceptional.

My apologies for missing our coffee share last week, but I was helping mum with the last part of her house move and she doesn’t have a phone line set up at the new place yet. I’ve also been having a nightmare with our internet connection at home, it’s currently taking at least quarter of an hour to load a page which isn’t exactly ideal!

So how have things been for you these past two weeks? My big news that you might have seen from my Three Things Thursday post is that my husband and I are finally in a position to buy our own home! We’ve already started looking around a few houses and I can’t wait until we have a place to call our own.

Apart from house hunting, most of the days have been taken up with the usual house and office work… yesterday was absolutely lovely though. We went to Nunnington Hall in Yorkshire and after looking around the house we strolled around the beautiful gardens, played Pooh sticks, croquet and giant jenga. Later on we had a fabulous evening meal at The Nags Head and had a late night walk around the quiet little village of Pickhill.

All in all it’s been the perfect weekend, and exactly what I needed after several weeks of stress and tears. Here’s hoping next week will be even better, I hope your week will also be lovely! Thank you for joining me for this Coffee Share, don’t forget to visit my fellow bloggers for a cuppa and a catch up.

So sorry for the delay this week, I’ve been having major technical troubles with the internet (which also caused me to miss the Weekend Coffee Share). Hopefully everything will be back up and running now!

My Husband – It’s been a tough few weeks recently, with plenty of stress and tears… but my husband has been a total rock throughout everything. I am so grateful for everything that he does, and for always making my smile no matter what!

Number Two
3TT1.13.07
House Hunting – At the very start of the year, I mentioned that there were going to be big changes for us… and I’m over the moon to say one of those changes will be buying our first home! We’ve finally reached the point were we can start house hunting and I’m so excited!

Number Three
3TT3.13.07
Mermazing! – I absolutely love mermaids, so finding a huge range of mermaid related items for sale (and incredibly cheaply too) at The Card Factory totally made my day! I might just have to go back for the rest of the range…

Loving this set from @soapandglory 😍 #TreatYoSelf

Treating Myself – I was moving some books the other day and I found a gift voucher that has been missing since my birthday! I love Soap & Glory products so I treated myself to this gorgeous Happy Glamper Festival Kit.

A Good Sleep (Hopefully!) – I suffer from insomnia, so I was delighted to discover the Sleep Essentials Kit by Feather & Down whilst I was treating myself. I love anything lavender scented, so I’m looking forward to trying out their products.

#WeekendCoffeeShare: If We Were Having Coffee on 2nd July 2017

Thanks for joining me for this Weekend Coffee Share, created by Diana at Part Time Monster and hosted by Emily at Nerd in the Brain.

If we were having coffee today, you would be joining me for a relaxing drink at home. Would you care for a cup of cherry chocolate coffee? My friend sent me a jar last week and I’ve been looking forward to trying it out.

How have you been this week? Mine started off very stressful and upsetting, but thankfully things have improved somewhat. I’m not going to keep focusing on the negative, so instead I will talk about all the nice things that have happened…

Mum finally moved into her new house and is settling in. I’ve only seen one or two photos so far, but it looks great already. I can’t wait to visit and see it all… it’s going to look especially wonderful at Christmas with the log fire.

Friday marked 14 years since I randomly decided to have lunch at Pizza Hut, and just so happened to meet the man I was going to marry. Obviously there was only one place for us to go to mark this momentous occasion, so we had a lovely evening meal.

Yesterday my husband’s parents came to visit us for the first time, so we took them to the Nene Valley Railway, lunch at the Tobie Norris in Stamford and drinks at Charters Bar in Peterborough. The highlight for me was eating pancakes for breakfast whilst watching the steam trains go by in the glorious sunshine.

This morning I was rearranging my books and as I moved them, a gift card fell out that’s been missing ever since my birthday! I must have put it inside the book “for safe keeping” as I was travelling home that day. I’ve just checked and it’s still valid, so I’m looking forward to a mini-spending spree later!

My husband has just made the excellent suggestion that we go out for lunch, so I best be getting ready. Hopefully next week will bring more happiness and less stress! Thank you for joining me for this Coffee Share, I hope you have a lovely week ahead. Don’t forget to visit my fellow bloggers for a cuppa and a catch up.
