Our garden is full of beautiful bluebells 💙 #garden #flowers #bluebells
Beautiful Blooms – The flowers in our garden are starting to bloom and they’re gorgeous. I love bluebells and we have loads of them! I can’t wait to see what other flowers we have over the coming months…

Number Two
Got to meet this gorgeous girl tonight 🐶
Connie the Cockapoo – I finally got to meet our friend’s new puppy and she is SO cute! I really wish we could get a puppy, but it’s probably not feasible at the moment

Ravenclaw Room – The guest room (AKA my craft room AKA the Harry Potter room) is starting to take shape now. There’s still several boxes to unpack, but it’s so good to have my things back again! It’s starting to finally feel like home

Reflections on the 2018 A to Z Challenge

I can’t believe I made it to the end of another A to Z challenge!

This year was the hardest yet for me despite having my idea planned out a year ago, things didn’t quite go to plan. Since last years challenge, I have a new job and we’ve just moved into our first house a few weeks ago, which has meant I have been completely snowed under with everything.

I would have loved to have gone into far more detail about what I picked and why, but I simply didn’t have the time to sit down and write. Some nights were a real struggle against sleep! I’m finally going through the comments now and replying… thank you SO much to each and every one of you who took the time to respond! I appreciate it so much and I WILL be visiting your blogs throughout the month to catch up on your entries.

Despite all this, I hope you enjoyed my little trip back in time and brought back some good memories. It was so difficult for me to pick just one topic for certain letters but if anyone wants to have more blasts from the past, I have a lot more memories pinned to my Nostalgia board on Pinterest.

Congratulations to everyone who completed the challenge, hopefully I will see you all again next year!

First Date – DH and I had our first date night since moving to our new home and it was really lovely. The food was fantastic and we had a nice walk around the town to see what the place is like of an evening. We also discovered a very nice pub!

Surviving the A to Z Challenge – Despite being absolutely snowed under with work and sorting out the house I managed to finish this years A to Z, which I’m really proud of! I wished I could have made my entries more in-depth, but I simply didn’t have the time… I hope people enjoyed it all the same!

Seahorse Rail – I spotted this seahorse towel rail online and I knew it would be perfect for the bathroom! Almost every website I tried had sold out, but I eventually found one that had it in stock

Yet another bizarre TV show, Zzzap! was supposedly a comic book that came to life and contained different sketch-shows in each panel. It used to scare me a little, but my favourite panel was ‘Smart Arty’ who I later found out was Neil Buchanan (who created and presented one of my favourite TV shows, Art Attack)

I’m obsessed with stationary and I think it all started with Yikes! pencils, they came in all sorts of colours and designs and were the must-have item in your school pencil case! I had a huge collection of these, as well as scented erasers (particularly strawberry ones)

Room with a view
Weekend Away – My husband and I had a lovely weekend in the Lake District, the weather was gorgeous and we visited several beautiful National Trust places. It was so nice to have some time to ourselves and relax for a little while.

Number Two
First wedding invite of the year, and my first time being a bridesmaid! 💙
Best Friend’s Wedding – We received our first wedding invite of the year today. One of my best friends is getting married and she’s asked me to be her bridesmaid!

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery – The game I was so excited about back in January was finally released yesterday! I’ve not being playing it long, but I already love it. It reminds me of the old Pottermore, which was a wonderful website when it first launched!

I love the Wombles, they’re so cute and their motto is to “Make Good Use of Bad Rubbish” which is a wonderful thing! I still have an Orinoco backpack, who was always my favourite Womble… the theme tune is great as well!

V is for View-Master #AtoZChallenge

View-Master is such a simple concept but I love it, even now! The slides I remember looking at the most were from The Little Mermaid and Thomas the Tank. My husband also loved View-Master as a child, so I bought him one for Christmas last year:

I always used to have a carton of Um Bongo in my lunch box at school, it was one of my favourites! I’ve not tasted it in years though, so I don’t know if I’d even like it now… maybe I should pick some up next time I’m at the shops!
