This year was the third time I’ve taken part in the The Wirral To Llandudno Run and it’s always worth the early morning start. If you own a Mini or know someone who does, then you really must come along on the run next year, which will be held on Sunday 8th January.
The run begins at the Croft Retail and Leisure Park in Bromborough and participants can choose from two different routes to the first stopping point at Rhos-On-Sea. The Minis then travel onwards to the top of the Great Orme in Llandudno before lining up along the promenade.
You don’t have to be a member of the Wirral Minis Owners Club to take part, but they do encourage everyone to purchase a plaque for their car. The sales from these plaques help to cover the clubs running costs and support its chosen charities. For more details on how to enter your Mini and join the club, please visit their website.
As always, I recommend you wear suitable warm clothing as it gets extremely cold on top of the Orme! There are several places along the run were you can buy breakfast or a drink and use the facilities. As for lunch? I know a rather nice Wetherspoons called The Palladium that you can visit.
