Tutorial: Easter Egg Wreath

A few months ago, I made an Autumn wreath which I was really pleased with, so I decided to try an Easter themed one this time. You could also make this with rabbits, chicks or flowers but I decided to go with Easter eggs.

You will need:

  • 1 x Card Circle
  • Easter Grass
  • Polystyrene Eggs
  • Embroidery Floss
  • Scissors
  • Glue Gun

First you need to gently pull the Easter grass into a long strip that is the width of your card circle. Make sure you have enough to go all the way around your circle and then glue the grass to the card.

Turn over the wreath and cut 1 long length and 7 shorter lengths of your embroidery floss. Tie the longest length at the top of the wreath and loop it so you can hang it up. Then use the remaining 7 lengths and tie it around at even intervals.

Trim any remaining floss and turn the wreath back over. Your grass should now have a hay bale effect. Then decide how you want to arrange your decorations and glue them around the wreath.

Once the glue is dry, trim the edges of the grass to neaten up the edges and your wreath is ready to hang. I’d love to see your own creations so please feel free to comment below with your pictures!
