Thanks for joining me for this Weekend Coffee Share, created by Diana at Part Time Monster.

If we were having coffee today I would wish you a very merry Christmas! We’re celebrating with our families today and you’re very welcome to join us, please help yourself to a slice of home-made Christmas cake!

How has this week been for you? Mine has been spent visiting friends, delivering presents and catching up with chores due to being in Germany. I also had the sad news that a close family friend passed away this week… there is never a good time to lose someone, but it just seems so much worse when it’s so close to the holidays.

If we were having coffee I would ask how you celebrate the holidays? My sister and I get up really early to open the gifts in our stockings (yes, our lovely mum still fills them for us even after all these years) and usually have some Christmas cake and a cup of tea… then we either wait for everyone else to wake up or go back to sleep for a bit until it’s time to open the presents under the tree. Mum cooks a fabulous three course lunch (including a turkey with ALL the trimmings of course) for us all and then we spend the rest of the day watching films and playing board games.

Thank you for joining for this Coffee Share, I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and are able to spend it with the people you love. Don’t forget to visit my fellow bloggers for a cuppa and a catch up.
