The Allotment – I had a fabulous lunch at the Allotment in Birkdale at the weekend. The food was wonderful and I LOVE all the little details in the décor! Trowels for door handles, flower pot sinks etc

Number Two
🌈🌈🌈
Rainbow – We were driving home the other day, and this beautiful rainbow was visible for a good half an hour of the journey

Number Three
3TT3.21.09.17
Scrapbook up-to-date – I’ve been so busy with work and everything else that’s being going on, that I’ve not had time to do any scrapbooking. I was 3 months behind and things were building up, but I was finally able to sit down yesterday and get my books up-to-date, ready for the next adventure!

Mermaid Make-up Brushes – I’ve had my eye on these beautiful make-up brushes for a long time, and I finally decided to treat myself! They’re even prettier in real life and bring a smile to my face whilst I’m getting ready on a dreary day.

Number Two
Date Night
Celebrating Mini Milestones – As well as celebrating significant milestones in our relationship, my husband and I also like to mark the occasions of some of our more random and silly ones. The latest one was on Tuesday, which we celebrated by drinking Champagne and watching James Bond… as you do!

Number Three
3TT3.14.09.17
Ravenclaw Lanyard – I found some leftover Ravenclaw ribbon whilst I was sorting through some sewing supplies, so I decided to have a go at making my own lanyard for my door card. I’m rather pleased with how it turned out… plus it was much cheaper than buying one!

Number One
3TT1.07.09.17
The Jacobite – My husband’s anniversary present to me was a trip on The Jacobite steam train. If you’re a Harry Potter fan then you’ll know that the train crosses the Glenfinnan viaduct which is an iconic location in the films. It was a dream come true and just to make it even more special, we went exactly “Ninteen Years Later” to the day!

Number Two
3TT2.07.09.17
Butter-Bru Hot Chocolate – This has to be the nicest tasting hot chocolate (which was topped with popping candy) I have ever had! I enjoyed a cup on board The Jacobite, which sells a range of Harry Potter treats such as chocolate frogs, Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans and themed cocktails.

Number Three
3TT3.07.09.17
Marmalade Fudge – Two things I love are marmalade and fudge, so I was delighted to discover this new addition to Dalemain’s shop. I wish I’d bought more than one bar as it’s absolutely delicious!

Curling up next to a log fire – I absolutely love being able to relax in front of the log fire with Bailey, it’s just perfect!

Number Two

Owl Holding – I had the opportunity to hold this beautiful owl on Sunday, it was the highlight of my day as I love them!

Number Three

Dodgems – My husband and I love going on the dodgems, so we were delighted to find them at events we went to on Friday and Saturday!

Number One
3TT1.24.08.17
Deer Watching – Whilst I was wandering around Dalemain on Sunday, I met the gamekeeper who very kindly let me go into his beautiful garden and see the deer up close. He was like a character straight out of an Enid Blyton book! His pockets were full of birdseed, which the birds would eat straight out of his hands… it was so lovely to watch!

Number Two
3TT2.24.08.17
Bailey’s 3rd Birthday – It was Bailey‘s birthday on Monday and of course he celebrated with a cake! He was so excited from the moment he saw the box and absolutely loved it. We love him to bits, even though he can be a little rascal at times!

Number Three
3TT3.24.08.17
Deluxe Afternoon Tea Book – I absolutely love my Afternoon Tea book, written by the lovely Niki from The Lemon Tree Bakery who made our amazing wedding cake! I purchased the deluxe version, which comes with some beautiful cupcake wrappers and muffin cases. I can’t wait to start baking!

Number One
3TT1.17.08.17
Daniel Craig returns as 007 – If you didn’t know already, I’m a HUGE James Bond fan and I’m absolutely thrilled with the news that Daniel will be reprising his role as Bond in the next film. The ending of Spectre just wouldn’t have worked with a new actor in the role IMO.

Number Two
3TT2.17.08.17
Happiness is a long hot bubble bath – Being a bath bomb addict, this sign is absolutely perfect for our bathroom! Sass & Belle have them on sale at the moment, which is an added bonus.

Number Three
3TT3.17.08.17
Stained Glass – I love stained glass, I think it’s incredibly beautiful and I would love to have a window of my own one day! I love any opportunity to admire these works of art, such as this one which I spotted on Sunday.

Merlin 💖
Merlin the Cockapoo – Merlin is the latest edition to our family, mum picked him up yesterday and I’m so looking forward to meeting him next week!

Number Two
3TT2.10.08.17
Beauty Box – My friend Michelle came up with a great idea for the members of her VIP group, those who want to take part are paired up with another member (chosen at random) and are tasked with sending a box of lovely things to each other based on their interests. My box of surprises arrived on Monday and I loved it, especially the Ravenclaw bookmark! It’s a great way of making new friends and I can’t wait for the next one!

Number Three
And the award for strangest thing I've seen today goes to this... peacock?
Random Peacock – I go to a lot of car shows with my husband and they usually have market stalls selling all sorts of random things, this peacock (?) however, has to be one of the most unusual things I have ever spotted! The “feathers” on top light up and there are pedals inside of it… no idea what it is but it made me laugh!

#WeekendCoffeeShare: If We Were Having Coffee on 6th August 2017

Thanks for joining me for this Weekend Coffee Share, created and hosted by Diana at Part Time Monster.

If we were having coffee today, I would first like to apologise for missing our chats recently! I’ve been so busy helping mum with her new house and then I was on holiday in Italy. Anyway, what would you like to drink?

Has July treated you well? I can’t believe we’re in August already, this year is flying by! Yesterday my husband and I were at the Gloucestershire Vintage and Country Extravaganza in Cirencester. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side with heavy rain and thunderstorms throughout most of the day, but we did manage to see quite a bit of the show in the hour of sunshine we were afforded!

As you may have seen on my Three Things Thursday post, we celebrated our 1st Wedding Anniversary last weekend. We had a wonderful time in Italy, we stayed in Sorrento and whilst we were there we visited Herculaneum, Pompeii and Capri. We had beautiful weather the entire time, the food was amazing and the views were stunning!

I’m pleased to say that my mum’s house is now complete, everything has been unpacked, all the workmen have finished and she finally has a phone line and internet connection. I’m really looking forward to our next visit, as we will be able to go out to places and just enjoy the new house without stressing over what still needs to be done.

The exciting news for us this week is the soon-to-be-addition to our family, a gorgeous 8 week old Cockapoo. Mum’s still undecided on his name as of yet, but they introduced him to Bailey yesterday and are hoping to bring him home on Wednesday. I cannot wait to meet him!

Well I think that’s everything for now! Thank you for joining me for this Coffee Share, I hope you have a lovely week ahead! Don’t forget to visit my fellow bloggers for a cuppa and a catch up.

Number One

Our 1st Wedding Anniversary – It was our first anniversary as a married couple on Saturday, which we celebrated with an amazing meal in Sorrento, Italy. It’s hard to believe it’s been a year already, it really doesn’t feel that long ago!

Number Two
3TT2.03.08.17
Visiting Herculaneum – I’ve been fascinated with Ancient Roman history ever since I can remember (even more so after studying archaeology) and I have always wanted to visit Herculaneum and Pompeii, which I finally got to do whilst on holiday in Sorrento. Both sites were absolutely breathtaking but my favourite has to be the lesser known Herculaneum which was so well preserved even the wooden furniture, mosaics and frescos survived.

Number Three
3TT3.03.08.17
Library in the Sky – I was surprised, but delighted to discover in my seat pocket during our easyJet flight a copy of The Railway Children. Although the book club (which I think is a wonderful idea) is aimed at children, I had a very enjoyable flight re-reading this wonderful classic… I really must watch the film again!

Bailey – One of my favourite things about visiting my mum is the greeting I get from our dog Bailey. Seeing him again always makes even the worst day a bit brighter!

Number Two
3TT2.27.07.17
Happy Mail – I absolutely love getting letters and parcels, even more so when they contain an unexpected surprise! I came home the other day to these lovely things from my friends (how great is the unicorn cat drawing?!)

Number Three
3TT3.27.07.17
Strawberry & Cream Cake – My husband treated me to lunch at Dobbies, which meant I could have my favourite item on their menu… this absolutely delicious cake.  I’d love to know what sauce they use, it’s wonderful!
