Quite possibly the most uncomfortable shoes ever! I always used to wear my jelly shoes to the beach, which at the time I thought was really clever as they were so easy to clean. In reality it was a terrible idea, as they were dangerously slippy when they got wet and really hurt when they were full of sand… Not that I ever learnt my lesson! Apparently these are making a comeback, but I still don’t think my feet have forgiven me…

Another show with a theme tune that gets stuck in your head for days! I used to love watching Inspector Gadget after school. I wanted to have pretty much all of the gadgets, especially Go Go gadget legs… walking to school would have been a breeze!

When I was little, the highlight of my year would be going on a Haven holiday. We only ever went on holiday in the UK (and always to a Haven holiday park) but I absolutely loved every second of it!

Those memories are incredibly precious to me now that dad is no longer with us, and will always remind me of all the good times we had together as a family. Although Haven has changed over the years and probably wouldn’t be the same if we went back, it will always hold a very special place in my heart.

One of my favourite things was the ‘Tiger Club’ and I still know every word (and action) to all of the songs… I’m so glad I still have these cassette tapes after all these years!

I remember the day we got the original Game Boy, we were on holiday and my mum had entered a competition to write a jingle for the radio. She won first prize, which was a brand new handheld game console. We spent the rest of the holiday taking it in turns to play Tetris (the only game we had at the time) and so began my love of Nintendo, and I have owned every model of Game Boy ever since…

#ThreeThingsThursday – What made me smile this week…

Welcome to this week’s Three Things Thursday post, created by Emily at Nerd in the Brain and hosted by Natalie at There She Goes.

Share your joy by posting three things big or small, that have made you happy this week and join in the fun! Want to know what it’s all about? Then click here!

Number One
Happy Easter 🥚🐰
Easter Decorations – Mum always has such lovely decorations in her house, and Easter is no exception. I love this bunny centrepiece she had for the table! Hopefully I can snag myself something similar next year…

Number Two
3TT2.05.04.18
Beach Huts – I’ve been collecting these lovely East of India quotes for a while, and I finally found Number 3! So pleased I have the full set at last, I can’t wait to display them in the bathroom

Number Three
Blue Sky and Sunshine ☀️ Blue Sky and Sunshine ☀️
Blue Sky – Today was the first day it was warm enough to go for a walk without a coat. It’s so nice to see blue sky again after all the awful snow and torrential rain! Hopefully Spring has finally sprung!

I used to spend ages attempting to draw something more interesting than a very square house with my Etch a Sketch, but I was pretty terrible at it! I used to get so frustrated when a line would appear that I didn’t want,  but I suppose it did a good job of keeping me quiet for an hour or so! Did you ever get the hang of it? What did you draw?

D is for Dogtanian And The Three Muskehounds #AtoZChallenge

“One for all and all for one,
Muskahounds are always ready!
One for all and all for one,
Helping everybody!”

Now this is a theme tune that gets stuck in your head for days at a time once you’ve heard it! If it wasn’t already obvious, Dogtanian was based on The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas and was one of my favourite shows when I was little. I’m not too sure what kids today would make of it however!

C is for Clangers #AtoZChallenge

They just don’t make them like they used to! The Clangers sounds utterly bonkers if you’re trying to explain it to someone, but they’re adorable. My favourite character is the Soup Dragon and below is my favourite episode, which I still remember so clearly after all this time. I always wanted a magical note tree!
